Presidents’ Day 2016 Winter Storm Totals
Monday's storm has tapered off to mostly rain across southern New Jersey, but the snow did pile up a bit earlier. So how much fell before the mixing started?
Below are totals reported directly to the National Weather Service from trained spotters and social media:
Ocean County
Brick - 1.5"
Lacey - 1"
Bayville - 0.8"
Monmouth County
Colts Neck - 1.7"
Manalapan - 1.4"
Atlantic County
Egg Harbor City - 1.2" (reported at 2pm)
Mays Landing - 1" (reported just before 2 pm)
Atlantic City International Airport - 0.8" (reported at 1 pm)
Burlington County
Florence - 1.7"
Crosswicks - 1.7"
Mount Laurel - 1.6"
Moorestown - 1.5"
Snow has changed over, but take it easy out there.
Of course, weather forecasters and NJ DOT officials warn -- the ground is frozen so it may take time for any icing conditions to clear up. Even if it looks like plain rain is falling this evening, take it easy out there because it could definitely be freezing.
