Matthew Madelino, 25, Nancy Madelino, 57, and Gerard O'Connor, 36, of Forked River, were apprehended along with Heather McMillan, 33, of Waretown, January 13 at the end of a short investigation that began when police flagged McMillan's car to the side of Alpine Street at about 3:25 PM.

Police did not indicate why they conducted the roadside stop, but said that officers found McMillan behind the wheel, Matthew Modelino and O'Connor riding along, and 65 bags of heroin.

The discovery allowed township detectives to execute a search warrant for a house on Buena Vista Road in Forked River. Police said they found several prescription medicaitons, including Oxycodone and Suboxone.

All four are charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and were released until their court dates.

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
