Last week we told you about how you can keep an eye on the work going on at the Seaside Heights boardwalk, and today we have great news to pass along to you.

Seaside Heights Police Chief Thomas Boyd confirms to us here at Townsquare Media that a portion of the boardwalk will reopen this weekend, between Dupont Ave and Webster Ave.

We've seen many small signs of recovery in the past six months, and this is one of the biggest, considering that the Seaside Heights boardwalk is one of the main symbols of the Jersey shore to outsiders.

Of course what we can all do to help is go out, buy some boardwalk pizza slices, play some skeeball, and bring some business to Seaside.

It's been a long process, but we're getting there!
