EATONTOWN - A boy is being treated for a collapsed lung after he was stabbed when a fight broke out at Monmouth Mall Saturday night, police said Sunday.

Eatontown Police said they responded to a report of a fight at 9:12 p.m. and found a male juvenile with a stab wound. The child was taken was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment, police said. The Lakewood Scoop reported the teen is 14 years old.

The Monmouth Mall released a statement to CBS New York Saturday night saying, “We are working closely with the Eatontown Police Department on scene. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured and his family."

Eatontown Police asked anyone who witnessed the incident to call 732-542-0100.
