Police – Teen Driver Had 5 Previous Accidents

Toms River Police say the driver of the Nissan SUV that crashed Sunday morning in Toms River had been in 5 other motor vehicle accidents since last February.

The driver, 18 year old Christopher Ryan remains hospitalized with along with 6 other teenagers who were all in the vehicle. Their conditions are not known. The Ocean County Preosecutor’s Office has joined the accident investigation.

Police say the vehicle hit a utility box and struck a tree. Police are also investigating whether some of the teens had been at a party drinking before the crash.
