Manchester Police are looking for a suspect who stabbed a man while he walked to the Krauszer's store in Whiting.

The 39-year-old victim told police he was playing cards in Fernwood Hall in Crestwood Village 7 when he left for the store. On his way, he was confronted by a man he said appeared to be "extremely intoxicated" who ordered him to empty his pockets. When the victim said he didn't have any money on him he heard what he believed to be a switch blade open and was stabbed in the lower left abdomen.

Police found the victim in the Fernwood Hall parking lot crouched down with blood pooling on his shirt and was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment of his injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male standing 5-feet, 9-inches tall weighing 185 to 195 pounds with a stocky build. He was wearing jeans and a dark colored tee shirt. and had a crew cut style haircut and a goatee. He spoke in a raspy voice.
