Ocean County law enforcement officials are actively searching for a bank robbery suspect who struck an Ocean First branch in Toms River Monday afternoon.

Police say the incident occurred at around 12:35 p.m. in the West Dover section at 55 Bannier Drive where the suspect handed the teller a note demanding cash and walked out of the bank heading west.

Police says no weapon was mentioned or displayed during the robbery and four customers and three bank employees present at the time but were unaware of the incident until the suspect fled.

The suspect is described as 5'8" about 175 lbs., with short brown hair and a five o'clock shadow. Suspect was wearing a bluish/grey long sleeve shirt, reddish baggy style pants and a faded NY Yankees baseball hat.
