A judge in Monmouth County today will consider dismissing a lawsuit against the Matawan-Aberdeen School District aimed at removing the words "under God" from the Pledge Of Allegiance. The suit was filed by the American Humanist Association on behalf of an unnamed family claiming that the words "under God" is discriminatory toward atheist children.

New Jersey school student Samantha Jones joined efforts with her family to defend keeping the words "under God" in the pledge along with the The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, American Legion, Liberty Institute and the Knights of Columbus.

The hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m., Wednesday November 19th, at the State Superior Court in Monmouth County in Freehold.
