The state has approved a permit for the owners of Casino Pier in Seaside Heights to rebuild a Sandy-damaged section where the iconic Jet Star roller coaster once stood, according to the Asbury Park Press.

The Coastal Area Facilities Review Act (CAFRA) permit issued by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) also allows the Sky Ride cable car attraction to be relocated 160 fee north of its location.

The state has not made a decision yet on whether to allow Seaside Heights to swap 1.3 acres of public beach on the north side of the pier for properties owned by pier owners, the Storino Family, as well as the historic Dr. Floyd L. Moreland Denzel/Loof Carousel, according to the Asbury Park Press.
