Whoever was bold enough to enter a house in Lakewood this morning and steal a family's dog will have some answering to do. But first, police need your help to track down the thief.

The pit bull answers to the name "Finely," is seven months old and is brown and white in color, police said.

According to investigators, a resident of East County Line Road reported the incident around 11 AM today.

The victim told police that the dognapper entered the house through a back door while she was delivering her children to school.

The suspect also took several bottles of beer and a phone, police said.

Authorities didn't indicate whether the door was locked, or whether any rooms inside the house were disturbed, or did they identify the victimized family or their street address.
