Pets Die in Christmas Day Fire in Toms River
Several pets perished in a Christmas Day fire in Toms River that destroyed a residence in the Friendly Village Mobile Home Park, according to fire officials.
Jim Mercready, Director of the Toms River Fire Prevention Bureau told the Toms River Patch firefighters responded to the call at 166 Camino Rio shortly after 6:30 p.m. The owner was not home at the time of the blaze.
Fire Inspector Dominick Roselli deemed the home unsafe and is continuing the investigation into the cause, according to The Patch.
