Pedestrian Severely Injured In Stafford Crash

Stafford Township Police say a pedestrian was struck and severely injured by a car.

The crash occurred early Sunday morning near the intersection of Route 72 and West Bay Avenue, across the street from the Kohl's store.

Authorities say the collision happened  when a group of men tried to cross the road after leaving Applebee's and were struck by a vehicle driven by Keith Mulroney of Barnegat.

One of the pedestrians, Cupertino Lopez-Ramirez of Guatemala was hit while walking with his cousin, Guillermo  Ramirez-Lopez also of Guatemala and a third unidentified male, who fled the scene before police arrived.
