Pedestrian Hit by Car

A pedestrian received serious injuries after being struck by a car in Lakewood Saturday night.

Police say the incident occurred at the intersection of Route 9 and Oak Street around 10:00PM.  The intersection was shut down while officers investigated.

The victim was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center with injuries to the head and leg.
