As many shore towns are making it easier to park with more pay stations and new meters that take credit cards as well as coins, one nearby beach town is taking it a step further and letting you do it all from your smartphone.

Just last week, the Asbury Park Press reported that the city of Asbury Park announced that visitors can now use a new app to pay for parking directly from their devices.

The app is called "Asbury PARK" (clever, huh?), and it's compatible with both Android and Apple devices.

So no more setting timers, keeping an eye on your watch, and running out to your spot to feed the meter, it's all in the palm of your hand now.

Would you like to see the pay by app model expand to more shore towns and into Ocean County? Weigh in below and let us know what you think!
