The second level of the  garage, being built as part of a new Burlington Coat Factory at the Woodbridge Crossing shopping center on Route 1, fell onto the lower level.

No customers or workers were parked in the garage at the time of the collapse except for a van and a forklift. No injuries have been reported.

The store is the former Great Indoors store along Green Street,  which was closed for a time following the incident.

The Patch of Woodbridge reports Mayor John McCormac called the collapse “a blessing in disguise. If this was the grand opening, the results could’ve been catastrophic. “We’re all happy it happened when it did.”
