According to the Asbury Park Press, an attorney representing the family of Brandon Holt, is seeking unspecified damages from Anthony and Melissa Senatore for pain and suffering caused by the loss of their son in April.

The suit accuses the Senatore's of "negligence, recklessness, and/or carelessness" that led to the death of their son.

“Given Brandon's horrific death, his suffering before he passed, and his extreme young age, not to mention the claims of both parents for their own emotional suffering, the case has a value well into seven figures,’’ Parsons told the Press,. “A monetary demand will be made at some point, but not now.”

On April 8th the Senatore's son brought a loaded rifle from inside the family's house on McCormick Drive and shot his friend in the head. Brandon died the next day in the hospital.

Anthony Senatore was arrested and released on bail on a host of child endangerment and a disorderly persons offenses in the incident.

“Again, none of this is going to bring Brandon back, but that doesn't mean we should turn our backs on those parties who need to be brought to justice for their actions.”Parsons told the Press.
