Did you hear about the theatre goer who walked on stage and plugged his cell phone into an outlet that was part of the play's set?  As the story goes, when the theatre staff returned his phone to him he said, "well, where CAN I charge it?"

I can understand feeling desperate for a charge.  I get really anxious when I have low or no battery left in my phone.  I know it's a bit irrational.  Heck, if ever there were an emergency, I could probably borrow someone's phone because they're everywhere now.  As much as plugging into a stage outlet seems in bad taste, I can understand his strong desire  to charge.

I've scanned for and used outlets at cafes, fast food joints, airports, and medical offices.  I was once tempted to ask a taxi driver if I could plug my phone into his car charger for the 10 minute cab ride.  Clearly I get a bit worked up when it comes to battery life!

So it got me thinking, how do you handle the dreaded "low battery" message?  What tips to you have for keeping your phone charged up?  Please share in the Comments section below.
