A Middlesex County woman is hoping to change attitudes on homelessness through a photo exhibit highlighting the former Tent City in Lakewood. Sherry Rubel's exhibit goes on display July 10 at The Monmouth Museum at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft.

Summer leaves thousands of NJ children hungry, report shows

School is out for the summer, but for tens of thousands of children who eat free or reduced-price meals at school, they lack healthy access to food during the summer, according to a new report by Advocates for Children of New Jersey and the NJ Food for Thought Campaign.

Christie, power company under fire following major outages

Southern New Jersey is still recovering from a fast-moving storm with brutal winds that ravaged the area on June 23 and left 280,000 people without power. Residents and lawmakers have been extremely critical of Atlantic City Electric and at least one mayor blasted Gov. Chris Christie for a perceived lack of response.
