According to information from Exelon spokesperson Suzanne D'Ambrosio, full power resumed at 6:50 AM today, after changes to an electrical monitoring system were completed.

At the time of the May 7 shutdown, Neil Sheehan of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission explained that it stemmed from a malfunction in a transformer that boosts power to the grid, essentially closing off the path of current from the source to its destination.

The monitoring system was modified, inspected and tested before being placed back in service, D'Ambrosio said, adding that at no point was residential energy supply interrupted.
