CARTERET — A crash involving several trucks and an overturned dump truck closed part of the truck lanes of New Jersey Turnpike on Tuesday.

Video showed a load of dark colored dirt and gravel in the outer lanes at the ramp for Exit No. 12 in Carteret with several miles of stopped traffic behind it. A dump truck was on its side but was uprighted and the cab appeared to be crushed and burned.

A front end loader was cleaning up the spill while a street cleaning truck was waiting to clean up additional debris. Two tractor trailers were pulled over to the right shoulder, while a third was parked on the left shoulder.

No lanes appear to be blocked on the inner lanes.

It's not yet known what led to the crash or if there were any injuries.
