When you read a
great book, don’t you want to tell everyone about it?  Don’t you want to talk with your friends,
compare notes, and share reactions?  If
the answer is “yes,” you’ll be happy to know that Oprah is reviving her popular
Book Club segment on her OWN network.  It
will be called Oprah’s Book Club 2.0.
The network president says this latest incarnation will be “for the way
people live and read today,” referencing how people use e-readers, tablets,
smart phones, and social media.  I’ll confess, I’m
not much of a reader.  The same few books
have been on my nightstand for months and there’s no telling when I’ll finish them.  Perhaps a show like Oprah’s Book Club
2.0 will remind me of how enriching it can be to get lost in a great story and then talk about it with other people.  My DVR is set for today's premiere so I’ll give the show a try.
What about you?  Do you think you’ll watch?  Do you already belong to a local book club at the Jersey Shore?
