Man Shot in Freehold Borough Home
One person was shot inside a Freehold Borough home on Tuesday morning.
Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Charlie Webster says Freehold Police got a call at 10:32 a.m. reporting a shooting at 18 Ford Avenue from the victim, an uindentified 39-year-old man who was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries. He is in stable condition.
The Monmouth County tactical team responded as a precaution and surrounded the home to determine if the gunman was still in the home. The suspect fled the home on foot and is not yet in custody; a description has not yet been made available.
No one else was in the home at the time of the shooting.A motive has not been determined and police do not know if the shooting was random or targeted.
