“On The Town” at Central Regional This Weekend
As you know if you read my blogs, I love high school musicals. The kids, the teachers, the schools - take so much pride and it comes out on the stage at every show I see.
This show that Central Regional Drama Club is putting on is nothing but perfect. It's a show about 3 sailors that come to NYC for a night. Set back in time, these kids along with the orchestra just put you in the middle of all the dancing and singing.
I've seen a lot of shows, this one there was so much dancing - I was asking myself how these actors and actresses learned so much dancing in such a short period of time. I know not all those in the play were dancers. Pretty unbelievable.
Congratulations to the Director of this show Rosemarie Shivers as some kids call her "Shivs". Her love for all of her students and these performers shows exactly what a teacher should be. And Ms. Moore, we love you so much here at WOBM, your musical direction is phenomenal. You both have such dedication and it really comes out in your shows.
To the actors in the show, I will never understand how someone can get up and do what you do. I could never do it without throwing up. At such a young age, you are all amazing, believable, and transformed the night into a NYC musical for me and my daughter. She'd look at me during the show and say, "This is really good". Congratulations to all of you!
