OHI Re-Opens Improved Lakewood Facility

Ocean Health Initiatives announced the grand re-opening of their newly renovated Lakewood medical center this past Friday.

OHI Executive Director Theresa Berger says, "The renovation will help OHI better serve the Ocean County community and its residents who are in need of high quality, low-cost primary care services."

The site, located at 101 Second Street in Lakewood, now features a new state-of-the-art 8,000 square foot OB/GYN and Pediatric wing.

Along with 10 additional exam rooms, the added space has allowed OHI to expand its service hours and see more patients annually.

The renovation project was funded by a $4.7 million grant offered through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.
