When flu season rolls around, it's never good to see a map that looks like this:

Yup, New Jersey is as ruby red as it gets as the flu has been spreading like wildfire through the Garden State.

The New Jersey Department of Health drills it down even further, but you can see that there really isn't a need to:

Every single county in New Jersey is red and marked as having high flu activity.

The New Jersey Department of Health urges residents to get a flu shot and to wash your hands frequently.

Just as important, don't try to tough it out and go to work or school if you have the flu. The best way to spread the flu is to be around lots of people.

I'm one of those people who hates to take sick days from work, but if we're talking about the flu, it's best to take one for the team (literally) and stay home!

You can keep up to date with the latest flu activity nationally by clicking here for the CDC's map, and in New Jersey by clicking here for the NJ Department of Health's official flu website.
