Off-Duty Cop Accused in Asbury Park Shooting

An off-duty Neptune police officer is accused of shooting his estranged wife in Asbury Park Tuesday morning.

NJ.com reports Sergeant Phil Seidle crashed his car into another vehicle on Ridge Avenue, then opened fire on the other car.  He was taken into custody after a brief confrontation with police.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound, but no details have been released regarding the extent of her injuries.
