Ocean Gate, Little Egg Harbor molestation suspects arrested

Suspects in separate child molestation cases in Ocean Gate and Little Egg Harbor are being held in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, following their arrests during the past three days.

Todd R. Kuchera, 44, of Ocean Gate, was taken into custody Friday for allegedly engaging in lewd behavior with a five-year-old known to him "on numerous occasions." He is charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Kuchera's bail was set at $350,000 with no option for release on payment of 10 percent.

On November 22, Elmer Falcon, 44, of Little Egg Harbor, was apprehended for an alleged sexual encounter with a two-year-old known to him. His bail was set at $200,000 with no 10-percent payment option.

In neither instance did County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato's office reveal when or where the alleged assaults took place, or any circumstances surrounding them.

Ocean County Victims Detective Lindsay Woodfield was instrumental in both arrests, assisted in Little Egg Harbor by township police Detective Joel Mahr.
