The ranking comes from Thrillist.com’s “The 15 Most Iconic Coasters in America” that was posted earlier last month. I have to tell you, as I was scrolling down the list I knew that I was going to find the legendary Kingda Ka, but I was getting nervous as I scrolled past thirteen and I didn’t see it yet – then there it was.

Six Flags Great Adventure’s Kingda Ka was ranked the 2nd most iconic roller coaster in America falling short to the Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. While the Top Thrill Dragster beat Kingda Ka in this post, our great coaster is the longest, tallest and it reaches speeds up to 128 miles per hour! I don’t know about you, but I have been on this coaster about 10 times in my life – every time is as thrilling as the first! Take it from me, just don’t get used to the drop.  What’s your take, do you agree with Kingda Ka being one of the most iconic roller coasters in America?
