Incarceration for three Ocean County sex offenders who neglected their registration requirements under Megan's Law, that began the day of their arrests in 2015, continue for 364 days.

Sentences were meted out in the past week for Gregory J. Torrez, 38, and William E. Bennett, 34, of Toms River, and Maurice L. Thomas, 33, of Seaside Heights, according to the office of Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.

All three entered guilty pleas December 21 and were assigned to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.

Torrez admitted failing to register his new address with Toms River police 10 days before moving, in response to a complaint filed by police on October 28. Bennett confessed to the third-degree charge of failure to register, answering the complaint that was filed August 17.

Thomas entered guilty pleas for two charges of failing to register and another third-degree charge, violation of community supervision for life.

All three were ordered to continue registration obligations upon release. Thomas must continue community supervision and parole supervision for life, for the complaints filed by police in Toms River and Seaside Heights. He has been behind bars since May 18.
