Ocean County Library is Helping Area Students Go To Prom In Style

Donations can include gently used, modern dresses in both long and short styles, in a wide range of sizes. The library is not receiving donations of bridesmaid dresses, shoes, or jewelry. Distributing branches are also seeking donations of dress racks and mirrors.

 

It's all about helping area students in Ocean County enjoy their Prom! The Ocean County Library is once again collecting "Prom Dresses" to distribute to area students who may be in need of something to wear to prom this year!

If you have Prom fashions that you want to donate please help out and make it a great Prom season here in Ocean County.

Donations are accepted at any one of the Ocean County Library’s our 21 locations until April 24.

This event provides dresses to all teens, free of charge, looking to attend formal, school functions.  Last year more than 700 prom dresses were distributed.

Locations for Prom Dress Giveaways will include:

• Toms River, 101 Washington St., (732) 349-6200, 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday April 11, 1 – 8 p.m. Wednesday April 12 and 1 – 4 p.m. Thursday April 13.
•  Barnegat, 112 Burr St., (609) 698-3331, 4 – 8 p.m. both Tuesday April 25 and Wednesday April 26.
•  Manchester, 21 Colonial Dr., (732) 657-7600, 2 – 4:30 p.m. Friday April 28 and 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday April 29.
