Another free Landlord-Tenant Workshop is being hosted this Friday by Ocean County Court staffers. Ombudsman Ann Marie Fleury said the seminar is designed to take attendees through the whole process.

"They'll learn about security deposits and how much a landlord can collect in connection with security deposits, habitability issues, evictions, anything regarding a tenant's personal property.

Fleury says they're hosting the workshop in conjunction with Ocean-Monmouth Legal Services, which she calls a great partnership where a whole lot of information is shared. Fleury adds that staff will also be on hand from the court's Civil Division. She said they can answer questions about the actual court processes.

The workshop is one of the many free seminars the court has held this year, covering such topics as separation and divorce and child custody as well as the landlord tenant issues.

"When individuals are leaving after having attended (the workshops) they feel so much more empowered with more information than they came in with," said Fleury.

The workshop takes place in the Ocean County Courthouse, Jury Assembly Area, at 100 Hooper Avenue in Toms River on Friday, October 17th. To reserve a spot contact them by phone at 732-929-2063 or email oceanlric.mailbox@judiciary.state.nj.us
