Ocean County Clean-Up in Little Egg Harbor [VIDEO]
I travel all over the country speaking to young people, and I am always amazed at how engaged in environmental conservation they are. ~ Philippe Cousteau, Jr.
Today my Wife and I had the chance to take part in a neighborhood clean-up....of the "Great Bay Blvd Wildlife Management Area". The event was sponsored by the Southern Ocean Birding Group along with help from the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve and Pinelands Brewing Company. Many were on hand to go out and help keep our bay front area clean. So much trash was collected, but we need to stop polluting our own neighborhoods.
It's amazing when you think about it ... every piece of trash we collected had an origin. Someone brought it there and was just to lazy and irresponsible to take it back and properly dispose of it. It boggles the mind that in the year 2016 people still just throw trash on the ground and walk away .... pathetic.
If you have an organization that has an upcoming "clean-up" please share your event below in the comments section, we'd love to get word out and have more folks involved in keeping our "Jersey Shore" beautiful!
