Ocean County Are You Ready For PROM ?

Prom season will be here before you know and with that comes a lot of cost to area families. Prom has become and entire night of entertainment. The price tag can be overwhelming. Tickets, flowers, transportation, after party and of course the outfits all add up.

In an article posted at NJ.COM  .... a nationwide survey conducted by Visa found that the average American household will spend $919 on prom night, which although still high ... is actually down 6%

To help residents once again the Ocean County Library will Host their 7th Annual "Prom Dress Giveaway". According to the library and all of it's branches (21) will begin accepting donations of gently used prom dresses March 1st and goes til April 22nd. According to the library they can only accept prom dresses and not bridesmaid's or cocktail dresses.

The locations for pick-up will include Barnegat, Lakewood, Little Egg Harbor, and Toms River. The Library will update us with a dress giveaway schedule .....

So help out and give back this Prom season and donate that prom dress that's in your closet and help a family afford a great night for their kids.
