An Ocean Township man faces sexual assault charges after allegedly hooking up with a 14-year-old girl in his home. Paul Ashton II, age 22, of Oakhurst was arrested Monday by members of the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force after the mother of the teen girl filed a complaint.

According to an Ocean Township Police Department press release, Detective Matthew Jackiewicz revealed that the girl had been involved in a sexual relationship with Mr. Ashton on several occasions at his Oakhurst residence. As a result, Ashton was charged with sexual assault of a minor with bail set at $500,000, no ten percent option by Hon. Judge Quinn.

He was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution awaiting a future court date.
