Mariann Motolla
I graduated from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in New York in 1976. I worked in Brooklyn and Staten Island before moving to the beautiful Jersey Shore in 1988.
In 1992 an opportunity to work for HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital as a Nurse Liaison came my way and I took it! This unique role combines the satisfaction of patient care and family care with marketing a rehab service line that brings hope into their lives.
Rehab is the link between acute illness or traumatic injury and recovery to their highest level of function. Seeing the dramatic improvement in patients working in our therapy gyms is tremendously rewarding.
A mother of 2 married sons and a daughter in college, family time is one of my greatest pleasures. The theater, gardening and “car cruising” with my husband Jim keeps my “downtime” pretty full.
Dorothy Torre, RN
Dorothy graduated in 1983 with a BS in Nursing from La Salle College in the Philippines and started working in medical/surgical and intensive care units at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Manila. In 1986 she migrated to the United States and worked at Community Medical Center in the peritoneal dialysis unit for 2 years before transferring to hemodialysis unit where she worked for the next 8 years. In 1996, she started working with Renal Care Group doing acute and chronic hemodialysis and in 2003 Dorothy decided to explore a different field of nursing. Fortunately HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital offered me a position.
Dorothy feels that indeed, nursing is hard and sometimes a very challenging career. However, it is also rewarding when she thinks about the number of lives she has helped and touched. I also love my co-workers.
Dorothy is married with two beautiful daughters, ages 18 and 11. She enjoys traveling with her family but also enjoys being at home and cooking with her daughters. They enjoy experimenting with various recipes. Dorothy enjoys tropical fruits and fresh vegetables and loves fresh seafood. She also enjoys watching movies with her family.
Sharon Kelly
Sharon was born in Kingston, Jamaica. In November, 1977 she moved to the United States and settled in Lakewood, NJ. Sharon attended Lakewood High School and Ocean County College before giving birth to her son Edward Joseph.
Because of her sons’ involvement in Cub and Boy Scouting, Sharon was a Den Leader for Pack 25 of Lakewood for many years. Sharon moved to Barnegat in 1995 where she lives with her son and her beautiful Siberian husky, Rocky.
Sharon has many years of Rehabilitation experiences and was employed at Medicenter Rehabilitation Facility in Lakewood for 23 years. In 2005, she came to work at HealthSouth and enjoys working here because of the friendly work environment. Sharon is passionate about her family and that spirit carries through her every day life.
In her personal time, Sharon enjoys comedy, reading and is an avid gardener
Jennifer Tango
Jen is from Lanoka Harbor. I have three grown children and three beautiful grandchildren. She has worked at HealthSouth for 28 years. She works on North wing which is a stroke unit. She says her co-workers are the best! It is a pleasure to work with them.
Jen likes to garden and spend her free time with her grandchildren. She has two granddaughters, ages 17 and 12 and a new grandson who is 7months old. Jen frequently attends her granddaughters soccer and basketball games and really enjoys watching them play.
