We all know that Ocean County has some truly unique landmarks that add both character and pride to our communities. And one Ocean County beach community is sporting an appropriately seasonal landmark that invites anyone to take part in some Christmas cheer.

The lone Christmas tree stands on the sand in Normandy Beach, beckoning passers by to add their own touch to the tree.

Next to the tree is a bucket with a note that encourages people to take a shell from the bucket, decorate it, and hang it from a branch.

You can read more about the Normandy Beach Christmas tree and check out photos by clicking here for the NJ.com story, or just swing by and leave your own shell on it!
