There were no injuries or property damage as a result of the explosion.

A Brick police officer on patrol near Drum Point Road and Woodland Drive heard what he described as a loud explosion around the aforementioned time frame.

The recycling center manager told police the area where they usually cut the tanks is surrounded by steel to prevent people for getting hurt when these type of situations happen.

A fire inspector also was on scene and is conducting an investigation into the explosion.
