NJEF Conference at Georgian Court Saturday

Education plus grass roots action equals impact. That's what the New Jersey Environmental Federation is hoping to get across during this Saturday's 27th annual 'Stand Up For New Jersey' conference.

Board Chairman Janet Tauro says the event will feature a full day of workshops at Georgian Court University in Lakewood. "A lot of the workshops have to do with clean air, clean water, energy, in terms of the energy portion of it, it's what direction should New Jersey be headed in?"

Tauro says the event has a political component where they'll be hearing from New Jersey's local, county, state and federal legislative leaders. Including Democratic gubernatorial candidate Barbara Buono.

She says they'll also recognizing those who've led the charge in protecting New Jersey's natural resources.
