As time inches toward the 2019 closure of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection announces a public meeting that will begin the process of forming a Decommissioning Plan. A meeting is scheduled on November 5th to discuss the safe operation and closure of the nation's oldest operating commercial nuclear power plant. NJDEP officials say the will be lead by the Oyster Creek Safety Advisory Panel. The meeting will take place at the Ocean County Administration Building in Toms River from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
