Signal problems are delaying all NJ Transit trains in and out of New York Penn Station by 30 minutes while PATH service is back to normal.

Signal problems were to blame for both sets of problems which created large crowds of unhappy commuters who were first subject to the NJ Transit delays and then found PATH trains also experiencing problems when they tried it as an alternate way  to travel.

Long lines were also reported at NY Waterways.

The railroads did not elaborate on the nature of the signal problems or how long they expected the problem to last.
