A New Jersey Transit train hit a wall at the Hoboken terminal on Thursday morning.

CBS New York said the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. at the 100-year-old NJ Transit station with some injuries. NBC New York reported the crash caused extensive damage to the wall with twisted metal and pile of bricks around the immediate are of the station.

There is no official word on the extent of injuries.

The Northeast Corridor is not directly affected by the crash.

PATH and NJ Transit service into Hoboken station has been suspended. The connection between the Lakawanna station and the PATH station has been closed.

It's the second serious crash involving NJ Transit equipment this week. One bus rear-ended another inside the Lincoln Tunnel on Tuesday.
