River Line service will resume service starting at 3 p.m. today and will operate every 30 minutes between Walter Rand Transportation Center in Camden and Trenton Transit Center.  Service remains suspended between Walter Rand Transportation Center and the Entertainment Center due to an ongoing power outage in downtown Camden.

However, Hudson-Bergen Light Rail and Newark Light Rail service will remain suspended until further notice.  There is currently no estimated time for resumption of service as they are dealing with a number of issues on both lines. There was flooding at Newark Penn Station and debris on the track between Newark Penn and Branch Brook Park stations.

STILL ASSESSING COMMUTER RAIL DAMAGE

NJ Transit has no timetable for the return of commuter rail service as their Rail Operation Center was flooded out, damaging backup power supplies, the emergency generator and the computer system that controls the movement of trains and power supply. In addition, they have not been able to fully test crossing gates due to power outages and "hundreds" of fallen trees have fallen, damaging overhead wires and signal wires.
