NJ Gas Prices Down Sharply

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in New Jersey on Friday was $3.39, down 7 cents from last week. That's also much lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.79, and marks the seventh straight week that prices have fallen in New Jersey.

Meanwhile, the national average price fell by 7 cents to $3.63. That's much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.91.

Analysts say the falling prices are due to lower crude oil prices, refinery maintenance ending earlier than expected and less demand for gas from drivers.
