The Attorney General's office recently released its findings after reviewing the actions of  Sgt. Bruce Harris, who fired one shot into the chest of 52-year-old Mark Tanouye  on July 19 at the High Velocity club.

Tanouye, a convicted felon, was brandishing a .25-caliber handgun and refused Harris' repeated commands to drop the weapon.

The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office had previously found Harris was justified in the shooting. Its findings and evidence were then sent to the Attorney General's office, which reviews all fatal police shootings.
