As Ocean County gets ready for the grand opening of a pair of new QuickChek gas stations and stores at key intersections in the county, we're getting a little more clarity on when we can expect business to begin.

With a new gas station and convenience store taking shape at the intersection of Route 70 and Brick Boulevard in Brick, and another at Route 37 and Fischer Boulevard in Toms River, two of the most heavily traveled areas in all of Ocean County, the anticipation of their ribbon cuttings mounts.

The Brick location has been in the works for some time now, we first reported on it back in the spring, but it's progressed a little more slowly than planned.

Back in March, QuickChek representatives told me that mid to late July was the target for the Brick store. But delays have pushed that back to the fall.

As for the Fischer Boulevard location, it's taken shape a bit more quickly, and according to a pretty well placed source it looks like the opening dates for both will be close to each other.

So as of this latest update, it's looking like the Brick location is shooting for a mid to late October grand opening, with Toms River following shortly after.

Of course this is all subject to change, as any number of factors go into building a business literally from the ground up, but we'll keep you updated as the dates get closer and we get more specific tips!
