New Jersey Drivers Line Up For Gas
New Jersey drivers are lining up at gas stations all around the state in search of a fill up following Hurricane Sandy.
The lines are reminiscent of gas shortages in the 70s as motorists are line up for miles at service areas along the New Jersey Turnpike & Garden State Parkways as many local station find themselves without power to run the pumps.
Not every Turnpike and Parkway service area is able to offer gas. A project at the Parkway's Cheesequake service area has made fuel temporarily unavailable . The Grover Cleveland Service Area on the northbound Turnpike between exit 11 and 12 in Woodbridge is flooded out while the Vaux Hall Service on the northbound Parkway in Irvington is offering only rest rooms and water because of power issues.
