New Gunfire in Lakewood, Police Seek Witnesses

Gunshots that rang out in Lakewood for the second straight night leaves police with telling evidence and tentative witness accounts.

Officers were sent to Milton Street at about 12:15 AM, found no one in the vicinity but recovered two shell casings, authorities said. Investigators then were given a terse description.

Police are looking for a black male, about 6 feet in height, who was seen wearing a white shirt and dark pants and leaving the area on foot.

Late Tuesday, a gunshot hit a car near High Point Condominiums. That incident is also under investigation.
