Neptune gun victim identified, investigators seek information

Monday night's shooting death of a Neptune City man outside the Neptune Township VFW Hall prompts a search for information as well as a search for a suspect.

Corey Basden, 34, was pronounced dead in the parking lot at 8:15 PM, 15 minutes after local police arrived.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office and Neptune Township police are partnering in the probe of the second shooting in five months at the hall on Corlies Avenue.
