It's National Women's Health Week, and every day this week I will write a blog about you and me celebrating our health. 

National Women's Health Week brings together communities, businesses, government, health organizations, and other groups in an effort to promote women's health and its importance. It also empowers women to make their health a priority and encourages women to improve their physical and mental health and lower their risks of certain diseases.  There are 5 steps the US Health Department would like every woman to do this week!  Each day I'll have 1 step!

The first step to a healthier you....Visit your Dr. this week and get a preventative screening such as a bone health screening, heart screening, etc.

I'm doing this with you, we'll do it together....I have a gynecologist appointment this afternoon for my annual check-up and my annual mammogram.  It's so important we keep up with these check-ups for ourselves.  I know, speaking for myself, we are so used to taking care of our kids..husband..even our parents, we forget about ourselves and we just can't.

Go WOMEN!  Let's get a little "healthier"!
