We could be in for a dazzling show tonight courtesy of NASA. They're scheduled to launch a rocket from their Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. But this won't be your ordinary rocket launch.

The space agency will be launching a "sounding rocket" that could turn the skies above Ocean County bright colors. According to NASA:

Approximately six minutes after launch, the sounding rocket will deploy four sub-payloads containing mixtures of barium and strontium will be released, creating a cloud that is blue-green and red in color.

The launch is scheduled for between 7pm and 9pm, at the moment targeting a more narrow window of 7:07 - 7:31pm, and you can keep up to date as to when exactly the launch will go off and see the rocket liftoff below (the live stream below starts at 6pm), then keep an eye on the skies!

If you see any dazzling colors and are able to get some photos, be sure to share them with us!
